MSL offers “Books-to-Go,” a home delivery service of books, audiobooks, magazines, and movies to homebound Library customers who reside in Manchester. The program will deliver to private residences as well as to independent living and nursing home facilities.
Our team of volunteers is eager to assist Manchester residents in finding satisfying library materials.  Residents who are experiencing either a short term or long term incapacity may request specific titles or subjects at any time, or may have a volunteer select materials for them based on their personal interests. To sign up or get more information about “Books-to-Go”, contact Cindy Waters at 362-2607.

Book Express
Our Book Express service offers themed book boxes to local childcare centers and family daycare homes. There are 22 different boxes, including both books and supportive materials. Themes include “Animals,” “Growing Things” and “Things That Go.” Library volunteers deliver and pick up book boxes, which may be borrowed for one month. If you are a preschool or daycare provider interested in Book Express, please call Jan or Janet at 362-2607.

The MSL meeting room is available for business functions, meetings and private events. The room accommodates 65 people and has an adjoining kitchenette with a microwave and small oven.  Groups need to bring a cooler for refrigerated items. Banquet tables and chairs are available. The group must provide their own paper goods and other supplies. Renters are responsible for clean up and putting away furniture and equipment.

Rental Fees:

  • For-profit groups and those charging admission: $20/hour.
  • Not-for-profit groups: $15/hr.
  • Extra charges: $5 surcharge for days the Library is routinely closed (Sundays and Mondays).
  • Payment is expected prior to the event.

If the event takes place after hours, a representative of the group must pick up a key during open hours.

Call the Library at 362-2607 to reserve the meeting space. Any librarian can assist you.
